Regan Boyce

Description

Regan Boyce is a London-based award winning artist known for his use of industrial materials and vibrant use of colour. His work focuses on narratives around the biosphere and playfully idealised futures shown through abstract constructions in metal, light and ink. He seeks to explore abstraction of natural objects to the point of ambiguity, attempting to positively bridge a gap between human manipulation and organic form. Using bold colour and line throughout both his sculpture and print work, he explores the ambiguity between us and our environments. As his practice has grown he has begun playing with retro futurism and the subversion of our cultural feeling about the future, while simultaneously reflecting on the childish and dreamful notion that rockets, space and flying cars could fix the world.
